Edith and Phillip Leonian were well known and active in the commercial photography world of NYC in the 1960s through 1980s. Edith was Phillip Leonian’s representative, and together they worked, explored, mentored, wrote, published, presented, invented, and served the field of photography. As experts in both copyright and contracts, they were always willing to advise others and were respected by their peers for the intellect and drive they brought to everything they did.

They were single-minded in their devotion both to photography and to each other.
