The Leonian Archive

As part of our mission, the Leonian Charitable Trust organized and catalogued the Phillip and Edith Leonian Archive, which contains vintage darkroom prints, negatives, slides, large format transparencies, posters, manipulated photographs, digital prints, career documentation, advertising proofs and samples, notebooks, correspondence, the “Cherry Bomb” camera (designed by Phil Leonian), bill files from Leonian’s commercial work in the 1960s through 1980s, family snapshots, biographical information, and other ephemera.

We are very pleased that the entire Leonian Archive is now permanently housed at the Dolph Briscoe Center for American History, where we have also endowed a Leonian Graduate Internship. The archive is accessible to the public, open to writers, curators, students, and researchers of all kinds.
